RSPO Membership

Asian Plantations Limited (LSE: PALM), a palm oil plantation company with operations in Malaysia, is pleased to announce that it has now been granted membership to the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil ("RSPO").

The RSPO is an association created by organisations carrying out activities in and around the entire supply chain for palm oil to promote the growth and use of sustainable palm oil.

Graeme Brown, APL's Joint Chief Executive Officer, commented:

"Commitment towards compliance with environmental guidelines relating to sustainable palm oil planting practices has been one of APL's key objectives since its admission to trading on AIM in 2009.  I am pleased that this commitment has been recognised and that we have now become a member of RSPO.  We look forward to continuing to develop our community and social responsibility initiatives in line with the Company's growth plans and securing eventual certification for our estates."
