Panther Securities PLC 26 November 2001 26th November, 2001 PANTHER SECURITIES PLC ('Panther' or 'the Company') Sale and purchases of Properties The Company announces that planning permission was recently granted for change of use from offices to residential on Elmbank Chambers, Bath Street, Glasgow and completion of the sale of the property took place on 23rd November, 2001 at a figure of £1,870,000 against its current book value of £1,630,000. This building had been virtually vacant for over a year whilst awaiting planning permission and sale, completion of which will now eliminate over £ 100,000 per annum of carrying costs. The profit on this sale after deducting all selling costs will be reflected in the financial statements for the year ending 31st December, 2001. The Company also announces the acquisition of 1-7 Fore Street, 2-7 Binford Place & Parrett House, Bridgewater, Somerset, a modern freehold town centre block of shops with flats above, at a cost of £1,800,000. The property produces £186,000 per annum and tenants include Argos Limited, Nationwide Building Society, Orange and The Outdoor Group Limited. The Company has also acquired Acorn House, 192-196 High Street, Erdington, Birmingham which is a modern long leasehold property held at a peppercorn rent and producing £248,000 per annum exclusive from tenants that include Beneficial Bank Plc, Iceland Frozen Foods Limited and the Secretary of State for the Environment. The price paid was approximately £2,150,000. Both properties were mainly funded by utilising part of the Company's recently arranged term loan facility from HSBC Bank Plc.
