Parity Group plc ('Parity'), the IT consultancy group, today announces a
number of changes to the Board of Directors:
* Billy Carbutt (Chairman 1994 -1997) becomes Non-executive Chairman
* Ian Miller becomes Group CEO of Parity
* Philip Swinstead moves to Non-executive Director
* Keith Jennings, Managing Director of Parity Solutions UK, to move on
from the Group
Ian Miller has been appointed Group Chief Executive with immediate effect.
Ian, 52, joins Parity from EDS where he spent six years, latterly based in
Dallas, as President of its Energy Global Industry Group helping major oil,
gas and chemicals corporations succeed in the digital economy. Prior to
joining EDS, he spent 16 years at PA Consulting Group, the last six as Partner
responsible for the Global Energy practice, specialising in corporate strategy
and business performance improvement for major international corporations,
including BP, British Gas, Mobil, Texaco and Phillips. He qualified as a
chartered accountant with a member firm of KPMG.
Keith Jennings, Managing Director of Parity Solutions UK, has indicated his
desire to move on from the Group in the next few months. Following a
transition period, Keith will hand over his responsibility for Parity
Solutions UK to Ian Miller.
Following a recent illness, Philip Swinstead steps down as Chairman to become
a non-executive Director.
Billy Carbutt, who was Chairman of Parity plc from 1994 to 1997 and is
currently the senior non-executive Director of Parity Group, becomes
Non-executive Chairman.
Ray King will continue in his current role as Group Finance Director and
Deputy CEO. Rick Bacon will continue as Managing Director of Parity Software
Services, the global technology staffing solutions business.
Commenting on the appointments, Philip Swinstead, said: 'The time is right to
hand over to the team that will lead Parity through its next phase. I have
agreed with the Board that I will now step down from the executive roles that
I have held over the last two year's strategic restructuring. Ian Miller has
excellent knowledge of this market following his time with PA Consulting and
EDS, as well as a wealth of Board level experience. With his experience of
both strategic planning and building organisations which deliver strong
growth, we are delighted that he has joined the Parity Board today.'
