Board Appointment
Parity Group plc ('Parity'), the IT services group, announces the appointment to
the Parity Board of John Maxwell as a Non-executive Director with immediate
effect.
John Maxwell, 57, is a Chartered Accountant by training and has extensive
experience on the Boards of UK listed companies. His early career included
fifteen years at Rank Xerox plc where he filled a number of financial positions,
followed by three years with Grand Metropolitan plc of which he became Group
Financial Controller in 1985. More recently, he was Group Chief Executive of
BPB Industries Plc and Executive Director, Corporate Development of the
Prudential Corporation plc after which he became Director General (Chief
Executive) of The Automobile Association until 2000, overseeing its
demutualisation and subsequent sale to Centrica.
John Maxwell is currently a Non-Executive Director of The Big Food Group plc
(formerly Iceland Group plc), Provident Financial plc and Wellington
Underwriting plc of which he is also Chairman. In addition to these, Mr Maxwell
was a Non-Executive Director of Atlantic Telecom Group plc from 2000 to 2001.

The Company confirms that it is not aware of any further details requiring
disclosure under Listing Rule 16.4 in respect of the appointment of John
Maxwell.
