Vislink Acquisition approved at EGM
Vislink plc ('Vislink') is pleased to confirm that at the
extraordinary general meeting of the Company held earlier today,
shareholders voted to approve the acquisition of the Microwave Radio
Communications Business ('MRC') of Adaptive Broadband Corporation and
the placing of 7,758,621 new Ordinary Shares at 58p.
It is expected that admission to the Official List of the new ordinary
shares in Vislink will take place on 28 July 2000.
Ian Scott-Gall, Chief Executive of Vislink commented, 'The acquisition
of MRC allows the Group to create a global microwave broadcast and
satellite communications business. The Company can now benefit from
the combined research and development resources of MRC and Vislink,
enabling the Group to broaden its product offerings. It also provides
growth opportunities in the US both as TV stations convert to digital
TV and for the full range of Vislink broadcast products.'
