Pennon Group Plc has received notification (by fax dated 10 February 2005) that
FMR Corp and its direct and indirect subsidiaries, and Fidelity International
Limited (FIL) and its direct and indirect subsidiaries, both being
non-beneficial holders, and Mr Edward C Johnson 3d, a principal shareholder of
FMR Corp and Fidelity International Limited, hold an interest of 6,060,577
Ordinary shares of £1.11p each in Pennon Group Plc representing 4.74% of the
issued share capital of the Company.
