Persimmon Plc ('the Company') - Transfer of Shares held in Treasury

Persimmon Plc announces that on 8 April 2009 it transferred 234,801 Ordinary Shares held in Treasury to participant in the Persimmon Plc 2006 Synergy Incentive Plan to satisfy the exercise of nil cost options. 

Following this transfer the Company holds 2,168,449 Ordinary Shares of 10p each in Treasury and the Company's issued share capital is 300,422,982 Ordinary Shares (excluding Treasury Shares).
