The board of Personal Assets Trust plc announces the number of shares issued
during March 2006:-

*These shares have been issued from the Company's shares held in Treasury.  The
Company also bought back 228 Ordinary Shares on 13 March 2006. These shares are
held in Treasury.


There were 733,274 shares in issue as at 31 March 2006.  This gives a market
capitalisation of £187.7m, based on a closing mid-price of £256.00.
