ISSUE OF EQUITY

On 24 August 2009 Personal Assets Trust plc issued 8,000 of its Ordinary shares of £12.50 from its various block listings at a price of £253.50 per share.  

The Company's issued share capital consists of 765,009 Ordinary shares, of which there are no longer any shares held in Treasury. Therefore, the total number of shares with voting rights in Personal Assets Trust plc is 765,009.

The above figure (765,009) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Personal Assets Trust plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
