                         Removal from ASX Official List



Petra Diamonds Limited ('Petra' or 'the Company'), the AIM-quoted diamond group,
refers to the announcements it made on 7 December 2006 and 5 February 2007
regarding the removal of the Company from the official list of the ASX. Petra
confirms that with effect from 7 March 2007 ordinary shares in the Company were,
following Petra's request, suspended from trading on the ASX.  On 14 March 2007,
the Company will be delisted from the ASX official list.



Further details concerning the ASX delisting and trading of Petra's shares on
AIM are set out in the Company's letter to Australian shareholders dated 7
December 2006.
