Non-Executive Director Appointments at Pendragon PLC

Pendragon PLC, the motor dealer group, announces the following changes to its Board of Directors.  This follows the recent announcement of the appointment of Mike Davies as Chairman.

Pendragon is pleased to announce the appointments to its Board of Mr Ian Coull and Mr Mel Egglenton, each as a non-executive director, with effect from 1 December 2010. 

Mr Egglenton is a chartered accountant and a former partner in KPMG LLP.  As a member of KPMG's Board from 2003, he chaired that firm's UK Audit Committee and also occupied the role of UK Senior Independent Partner.  In his capacity as an audit partner he has advised a number of UK national retailers, including in the automotive sector, as well as a wide range of other public and private companies.

Mr Ian Coull is currently Chief Executive of property company, SEGRO plc (previously Slough Estates), and a non-executive director of Galliford Try plc. He will become chairman of Galliford Try on 1 July 2011. He is a chartered surveyor and a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.  Other positions he has held include a member of the boards of J Sainsbury and the House of Fraser and Cavenham. He has chaired the British Property Federation, the London Sustainable Development Commission and a number of other property sector councils and advisory groups.
