Sale of Minority shareholding in Flightform UK Limited
Pendragon PLC announces that it has agreed to sell its minority shareholding in
Flightform UK Limited (Flightform). Flightform trades as Dollar/Thrifty in the
UK and its principal business is daily car rental.
The sale will realise proceeds of £3.6 million and is expected to complete
towards the end of next month.
Trevor Finn, Chief Executive, commented:
'The stake in Flightform was owned by CD Bramall Plc, which we acquired at the
beginning of March this year. Daily car rental is not considered a core business
of Pendragon and the synergies between the two companies were considered to be
limited. The sale forms part of our continued focus on our core business and the
proceeds will be used to reduce borrowings.'
