RESULT OF GENERAL MEETING
Plant Health Care (AIM: PHC), a leading provider of natural products for plants and soil, announces that, at a General Meeting of the Company which took place earlier today, the resolutions put to shareholders in order to effect the Placing to raise £10.5 million (before expenses), announced on Friday 24 April 2009, were duly passed.
The Placing remains conditional upon Admission of the New Ordinary Shares to trading on AIM. It is expected that Admission and dealings in the New Ordinary Shares will occur at 8.00am tomorrow (Wednesday 13 May 2009).
The net proceeds of the Placing will be used to strengthen the Company's balance sheet and provide working capital for the Group.
Commenting at the General Meeting, Albert Fischer, Chairman of Plant Health Care said: 'We are delighted to have had such a positive response to the fundraising. This and the deal with Monsanto represent a very significant step forward for Plant Health Care and creates a strong platform for future growth'.
