Playtech Announces Italian Poker Agreement with Cogetech S.p.A

Playtech (AIM: PTEC), the international designer, developer and licensor of software to the online and land based gaming industry, is pleased to announce a poker agreement with Cogetech S.p.A ('Cogetech'), a leading Italian online and land based operator.  

The agreement marks another stage in the rapid growth of Playtech's Italian ipoker network, having recently gained Snai, Sisal and Gala Coral's Eurobet Italia as licensees. Cogetech provides sports betting 'white label' solutions to several industry-leading Italian and global operators.

Under the terms of the license agreement, Playtech will provide Cogetech with its entire portfolio of market leading poker games in tournament form. At present, the software is downloadable in a 'play for fun' mode, which provides players with the opportunity to improve their strategies and hone their skills for free. A 'play for real money'' mode is intended for launch later this year.  

The product has been fully integrated with Cogetech's online betting system and the agreement complies with all Italian regulatory standards. It has been designed specifically to appeal to the Italian market and customised to meet all functional requirements, including a true 'shared wallet' experience between the sportsbook and poker room, with matching language and currency.
