POLAR CAPITAL GLOBAL HEALTHCARE GROWTH AND INCOME TRUST PLC ("the Company")

Transaction in own shares  

6 August 2014                                                   

The Company has today agreed to buy back 100,000 Ordinary Shares of 25p each in the capital of the Company at a price of 145.415p pence per ordinary share. The Ordinary Shares bought back will be placed in Treasury.

As a result of the above transaction, the Ordinary Shares in issue, shares held in Treasury, and the Total Voting Rights of the Company are now as follows:

Number of Ordinary Shares in issue:                                                        122,650,000

Number of Ordinary Shares held in treasury:                                               1,030,000

Total Voting Rights attaching to Ordinary shares in issue:                     121,620,000
