Appointments and resignation of non-Executive Directors
The Board of Porvair plc ('Porvair') are pleased to announce the appointment of
Charles Matthews and Andrew Walker as non-Executive Directors with effect from
24 January 2005, Michael Ost has indicated his wish to retire and will resign
from the Board on the same date.
Charles Matthews, 51, is Founder and Chairman of Sigma QC limited. He is a
non-Executive Director of FKI plc and Chairman of Axeon Ltd and Creative
Learning Media Ltd. He was previously Chief Executive of Cosworth Engineering
and was a member of the Vickers plc Group Executive Board.
Andrew Walker, 52, is a non-Executive Director of API Group plc, Manganese
Bronze Holdings Limited, Halma plc and Ultra Electronics Holdings plc. He was
previously Group Chief Executive of McKechnie plc and prior to that was Group
Chief Executive of South Wales Electricity plc. He was previously a
non-Executive Director of Galileo Innovation Plc.
Charles Mathews and Andrew Walker will both join the Audit Committee,
Remuneration Committee and Nominations Committee of Porvair.
The Group confirms that there are no further matters to be disclosed pursuant to
the requirements of paragraph 16.4 of the listing rules.

both have had distinguished and broad ranging careers and will bring a wealth of
experience to Porvair. Michael Ost has made a considerable contribution to
Porvair over the last six years and has been a very valuable member of the
Board. We wish him a long and happy retirement.'
