                            Porvair plc ('Porvair')

                         Resignation of Dr John Sexton


Porvair today announces that Dr John Sexton has resigned from the Board with
immediate effect to pursue other interests. Dr Sexton will continue in his role
as Managing Director of the Porvair Filtration Group until 31 December 2007,
when he will leave the Group. David Amey and James Robinson will become joint
managing directors of the Porvair Filtration Group with effect from 1 January
2008.


Charles Matthews, Chairman of Porvair plc, said:

'I would like to thank Dr Sexton for his valuable contribution to the Group
since he joined in 2001. He has led the Porvair Filtration Group successfully
throughout that time. David Amey and James Robinson are well equipped to take
the Porvair Filtration Group through its next phase of growth and I am delighted
that we have such a strong team to provide succession.'
