PORVAIR PLC - GRANT OF OPTIONS TO DIRECTORS

On 16 August 1999, Ben Stocks and Mark Moran both directors of the Company, were
granted options for nil consideration over 20,000 and 15,000 Ordinary Shares
respectively at a subscription price of 157.5 pence per Ordinary Share under
the Porvair plc Executive Share Option Scheme.  These options are exercisable
from 16 August 2002 to 15 August 2006.  Following these grants of options Mr
Stocks holds options over 150,000 Ordinary Shares and Mr Moran holds options
over 90,000 Ordinary Shares.
