Porvair plc
Announces further intellectual property activity
Porvair plc, the advanced materials Group, today announces the
addition of a royalty based intellectual property licence to
its materials technology portfolio.
The material is a patented porous metal whose pore size and
density can be carefully controlled. Porvair has taken a
licence from Astromet Inc in Cincinnati Ohio to develop the
material worldwide.
Commenting on this arrangement, Ben Stocks, Chief Executive of
Porvair plc said :
'This material has a number of unique properties that we
expect to apply, initially, in the fields of catalyst media
and catalytic conversion. It is in the early stages of
commercial development and will be brought to market by our
advanced ceramics subsidiary, Selee Corp. Porvair plc is
making good progress in developing its materials technology
portfolio. We announced two advanced ceramic licences in
November 1999, and this latest licence is a further exciting
step forward.'
