The Board of PHP announces today that, with effect from today, Martin Gilbert is resigning from the Board.

Martin Gilbert has been a member of the Board since 3 May 1996, when the Company was floated on AIM before its admission to the Main Market in 1998.  The Board has greatly valued his contribution and commitment to the growth of the Company. 

Martin Gilbert is Chief Executive of Aberdeen Asset Management PLC who, through their operating subsidiaries, have been shareholders since flotation.

After due consideration, and in view of his comprehensive knowledge of PHP and experience in the investment companies sector, the Board of PHP has invited William Hemmings, who has been Martin Gilbert's alternate director since 13 March 2000, to become a Director.
