CSS Stellar plc ('CSS Stellar' or 'the Group')
AGM Statement
At the Annual General Meeting of CSS Stellar held earlier this morning, Julian
Jakobi, Chief Executive, made the following statement to shareholders:
'Trading across the Group has been in line with the Board's expectations in the
first four months of the year.
'Our Talent Management and Marketing Divisions performed on budget. Event
Services experienced a slow start to the year, although this is not unusual. In
contrast, our growing Television Division enjoyed a better than expected first
four months.
'We are now seeing benefits from the management and organisational changes made
in North America in the final quarter of 2002. Budgets to date have been met and
a cautious, if measured, optimism exists for the remainder of the year. New
client wins include the History Channel, M Z Berger Watches and ESPN.
'At the time of our preliminary results on 18 March 2003, we said that this year
would be one of consolidation and integration for the Group. Global economic
conditions dictated it would also be a challenging year for all our operations.
In light of these factors, I am greatly encouraged by the creative and
co-operative approach our management and employees are taking. I look forward to
reporting further progress for the Group with the Interim Results announcement
in September.'
