Dividend Declaration

 

 

The PRS REIT, the closed ended real estate trust established to invest in new-build homes in the Private Rented Sector is pleased to declare today an interim dividend in respect of the period to 31 March 2018 of 1.0 pence per ordinary share payable on 31 May 2018 to shareholders on the register on 11 May 2018. The ex-dividend date will be 10 May 2018.

The dividend will comprise of a Property Income Distribution (PID) of 0.5 pence per share in respect of the Company's tax exempt property rental business and a non-PID dividend of 0.5 pence per share.

As previously reported, the Company is targeting a total dividend of 5.0 pence per ordinary share for the period from launch to 30 June 2018, and 5.0 pence per ordinary share for the year from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019.*

The PRS REIT is a closed-ended real estate investment trust established to invest in the Private Rented Sector and to provide shareholders with an attractive level of income together with the potential for capital and income growth.  In its Initial Public Offering, on 31 May 2017, the Company raised £250m gross equity capital and, on 20 February 2018, it raised a further £250m (gross) through an additional Placing. Both fundraisings were supported by the UK Government's Homes England with direct investments totaling c. £30m.

Dividend withholding tax deductions

Shareholders entitled to elect to receive distributions without deduction for withholding tax should complete the declaration form which is available in the Investor Centre of the Company's website, www.theprsreit.com, or by request to info@theprsreit.com or by writing to the Company Secretary, 18 Alva Street, Edinburgh EH2 4QG.  Shareholders who qualify for gross payments are, principally, UK resident companies, certain UK public bodies, UK charities, UK pension schemes and the managers of ISAs, PEPs and Child Trust Funds, in each case subject to certain conditions.  Individuals and non-UK residents do not qualify for gross payments of distributions and should not complete the declaration form.
