Brainspark partner company news.
London - December 22nd, 2000. Brainspark, the incubator focused on internet
and technology-related businesses, today announced the sale of Perfectday and
the closure of HoboMedia.
Brainspark has sold its interest in the Perfectday weddings portal to its
former partner in this joint venture, James Buchanan, founder of AIM
Publications.
Another of Brainspark's partner companies, HoboMedia, today announced it is
ceasing to trade. Brainspark invested in HoboMedia in March 2000. In May they
launched HoboMusic.com, an information platform and commodity marketplace for
the music industry.
The decision to close the business was taken after an acquisition offer from a
major trade buyer was withdrawn last week after several months of negotiation.
