Rambler Metals and Mining Appoints General Manager

LONDON, ENGLAND and BAIE VERTE, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR--(Marketwire - Aug. 11, 2008) - Rambler Metals and
Mining plc (TSX VENTURE:RAB)(AIM:RMM) ('Rambler' or the 'Company') is pleased to announce that as at August
18th, Jason McKenzie is appointed as General Manager. He will be responsible for managing all activities
associated with the development of the Ming Mine Project.

Jason McKenzie has over 35 years experience in underground mining at various ascending levels of supervision
and management. Jason was previously Mine Manager at Irish Gypsum Ltd and Tara Mines Ltd in Ireland. Prior to
this he worked as Project Supervisor at the Getchell Mine for Placer Ltd in Nevada and at Inmet Mining
Corporation, Winston Lake Division, Ontario. Jason has also worked as a General Manager at Kinross Gold Corp
and Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting Ltd. He has worked on numerous underground mining -projects, through
different stages of development, construction and ultimately bringing them successfully into production. Jason
is a Certified Mine Engineering Technician with a diploma from the Cambrian College of Applied Arts and
Technology.
