Rosenblatt appoints Lord Hogan-Howe as an adviser
to its White Collar Fraud & Financial Crime division
Pioneering law firm, Rosenblatt Limited ("Rosenblatt") today announces the appointment of Lord Bernard Hogan-Howe as an adviser to the Firm's new White Collar Fraud & Financial Crime division.
The Lord Hogan-Howe QPM was the head of London's Metropolitan Police as Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis from 2011 until 2017, the most senior role in British Policing. The organisation is responsible for leading the UK's counter-terrorist network for the United Kingdom and policing London. His distinguished career includes leading Merseyside Police as Chief Constable, and as Her Majesty's Inspector of Constabularies, he led nationally on the themes of counter-terrorism and serious and organised crime.
The Lord Hogan-Howe joins Rosenblatt, which is part of RBG Holdings plc, the professional services group. He will advise the White Collar Fraud & Financial Crime division which was formed in September 2019 as part of Rosenblatt's internationally renowned Dispute Resolution practice. The division provides advice and support for individuals and companies. This support includes dealing with compliance issues, investigations (both internal and external), defending prosecutions, or helping clients who are the victims of financial crime.
Partner, Manraj Somal, heads the division and it has created a new offering for the Firm to increase the areas in which Rosenblatt can support its clients. The creation was in response to the increasing threat driven by the growth of criminal liability for corporates and cybercrimes such as identity theft and phishing, as well more traditional forms of financial crime such as money laundering, tax evasion and fraud. Since the launch, the division has advised businesses and individuals in relation to a wide range of financial crime issues, including compliance, investigations, and disputes.
Nicola Foulston, CEO, RBG Holdings plc, said: "Our Financial & White Collar Crime division has been in huge demand since we launched it earlier this year. We are thrilled that Lord Hogan-Howe has agreed to become an adviser who will help not only enhance our service to our clients but also establish Rosenblatt as one of the leaders in this area."
Lord Hogan-Howe, added: I am delighted to be joining this excellent law firm as it continues to grow following its successful public listing."
