Michael David Masters today exercised the under noted options at the various
prices set out below.  Some of these options were due to lapse shortly on the
expiry of 10 years from the date of grant.

Mr Masters sold 70,610 shares resulting from this exercise at 603 pence per
share which raised sufficient monies to meet the funding costs of exercising
these options and the balance of shares have been retained by Mr. Masters.

As a result of this transaction Mr Masters' beneficial holding in Trinity
Mirror plc has increased from 15,839 ordinary shares of 10p, to 93,957
ordinary shares of 10p representing 0.067% of the issued share capital.
