Real Estate Investors PLC ("REI" or "the Company")
Acquisition
REI announces that it has today exchanged unconditional contracts to purchase
the freehold interest in a town centre retail investment in The Marlowes, Hemel
Hempstead, Hertfordshire. The total consideration for the acquisition is
£1,085,000 and will be paid as to £900,000 in cash and the balance by the issue
to the vendors of new 1p ordinary shares in REI, at the middle market price on
the day of completion of the contract.
The property totals 4,250 sq ft in floor area and comprises a retail shop, with
self contained office accommodation above. It is let in its entirety to Centrica
PLC, at a current rental of £77,900 per annum. Adjacent occupiers include
Woolwich, Abbey National and McDonalds.
