re Dr Peter Harf

In addition to the interest in shares reported above, Dr Harf's agents,ABN
Amro Bank N.V., have now reported that Dr Harf also holds 50,000 Benckiser 'B'
shares (which may be converted into Reckitt Benckiser plc Ordinary shares at
the rate of 5 Company shares for each Benckiser 'B' share).

The number of options outstanding from the 1997 awards should read 150,000
only and not an additional 92,500 options for that year.
