Redrow plc hereby announces that on 29 June 2001, it was notified that the
following directors became interested in options over ordinary 10p shares in
Redrow plc as follows:

P L Pedley       250,000 shares

G H Locke         75,000 shares

B K Harvey        50,000 shares

N Fitzsimmons     50,000 shares

C E Lewis         30,000 shares

The options have been granted by Mr S P Morgan over shares controlled by him
and they do not involve Redrow plc in issuing any additional shares.  The
options are exercisable at a price of 170p between 25 June 2004 and 24 June
2005.

These options have been granted as part of an option scheme set up by Mr S P
Morgan, the membership of which also includes 47 directors of subsidiary
companies.
