Further to its announcement on 5 August 2010, Renold, a global leader in the manufacture of industrial chains, announces that it has appointed Brian Tenner to replace Peter Bream as Finance Director of the Company and as an Executive Director on the Board of Directors, with effect from 27 September 2010. 

Brian brings a proven mix of operational and group financial experience in addition to strong technical accounting skills. Until 31 August 2010, he was Group Finance Director and a member of the Board of Scapa Group plc.  His previous experience also includes a number of finance positions with the former British Nuclear Group and as Head of Investor Relations of the Lattice Group plc. His early career was spent with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he completed several international assignments.

The Company confirms that there are no further matters to be disclosed in respect of his appointment pursuant to paragraph 9.6.11 to 9.6.14 of the Listing Rules.

The Board would like to thank Peter Bream for his contribution to the improvements over the last four years in the strategic position and the financial performance of Renold.
