                                  BOARD CHANGE

Renold plc announces a change in the position of Finance Director.

Mr S R Mole is resigning from the Board with effect from 1st June, 2005, and
will be replaced by Mr D A Brown. Mr Mole will remain with the Company over the
next few months to ensure an orderly transition.

Mr Brown was previously Finance Director of the Company (2000-2003) since which
time he has undertaken the roles of Managing Director, Industrial Chain
Division, and more recently Business Development Director.
