range of precision engineering products, announces that it has appointed Robert
Davies, age 49, as an Executive Director with effect from 8 March 2004. On 7
April 2004 Robert Davies will take over the role of Chief Executive Officer from

effective 6 April 2004. Ian will oversee the handover to Robert during March
2004.
Robert Davies has a background in electrical engineering and held senior
management roles in Lucas and GE both in the UK and overseas. He was also Chief
Executive Officer of Druck Holdings PLC, a listed company on the London Stock
Exchange prior to its sale to GE.
The Chairman, Mr Roger Leverton, commented:
'We are pleased to have attracted someone of Robert's calibre and
experience and believe he will contribute significantly to the development
of Renold's strategic objectives.
Ian has made an immense contribution to Renold during his 13 years on the
Board, firstly as divisional Managing Director of the Chain Businesses
during a period of significant change and, since 2001, as Chief Executive
during which an extensive restructuring programme has taken place. On
behalf of my colleagues I would like to express the Board's thanks for the
important contribution Ian has made to the Group and we wish him well in
his retirement.'
Mr Davies does not have any current directorships nor, save as set out above,
any past directorships in any other publicly quoted company. There are no
disclosures to be made for Mr Davies pursuant to paragraph 6.F.2(b) to (g) of
the Listing Rules.
Mr Davies does not have any interest in the shares or other securities of Renold
