DIRECTORATE CHANGE


Renold plc is pleased to announce the appointment of John Allkins as
Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee, effective 17 April
2008.

John Allkins, aged 58, was previously Group Finance Director for MyTravel Group
plc and is also a Non-Executive Director of Intec Telecom Systems Plc.

Matthew Peacock, Chairman of Renold plc, said 'The Board is delighted with
John's appointment.  His wealth of experience will further strengthen the 
Board.'

Renold plc also announces that Barbara Beckett, a Non-Executive Director since
2005, will be retiring as a Director at the conclusion of the Annual General
Meeting on 30 July 2008 and will not be presenting herself for re-election.

Matthew Peacock, Chairman of Renold plc, said, 'I would like to join with my
colleagues on the Board in thanking Barbara for her contribution to a period of
considerable change and improvement in the performance of Renold.'
