Reliance Security Group plc announces that, effective 1 March 2002, Nigel
Stapleton becomes a non-executive director. He is Chairman of Uniq Plc, a former
chairman of Reed Elsevier PLC, and a non-executive director of London Stock
Exchange plc and Marconi Plc.

Reliance chairman, Brian Kingham said: 'We are delighted to welcome Nigel
Stapleton. His wide and diverse experience in manufacturing as well as process
