The Restaurant Group plc (the "Company") announces the appointment of Mike Tye as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee. He joins the Board on 4 April 2016.
Mike has extensive experience of the Leisure and Hospitality sector and was until recently the CEO of Spirit Pub Company plc, where he led its successful establishment as a public company following the demerger from Punch Taverns. He was a Director of Punch Taverns until August 2011. Prior to that he held a variety of MD roles in Whitbread, including MD of David Lloyd Leisure, Premier Inn and Costa Coffee.
In line with best practice, Tony Hughes, Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee since 2008, will be retiring from the Board following the Company's AGM on 12 May 2016. The Board wishes to thank Tony for his contribution during his tenure. Simon Cloke, Non-Executive Director, will be appointed Senior Independent Director.
A process is underway to recruit one further Non-Executive Director, to Chair the Audit Committee.

There is no further information in relation to Mike Tye that requires notification for the purpose of Listing Rule 9.6.13. He will stand for election as a Non-Executive Director at the Company's AGM on 12 May 2016
In accordance with LR9.6.11, The Restaurant Group discloses that Tony Hughes will retire as a Non-Executive Director at the conclusion of the Company's AGM on 12 May 2016 and will not stand for re-election.
The disclosure required by section 430 (2B) of the Companies Act 2006 relating to the departure of Tony Hughes from the Company is set out below.
1. Tony Hughes will step down from the Board at the close of the Company's AGM on the 12 May 2016.
2. He will be paid his fees as usual, in line with his contractual terms, until he steps down from the Board on 12 May 2016. He will then be paid £14,475, commensurate with his contractual terms, to cover his 3 months' notice period. There will be no payment for loss of office.
