The Company announces that application has been made to the London Stock
Exchange and UK Listing Authority for the admission to the Official List of a
block listing of 1,250,000 ordinary shares of 25p each. These ordinary shares,
which rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares in issue, will be
allotted from time to time in accordance with the exercise of options under the
Company's following share option schemes:

The Ricardo plc 1994 Executive Share Option Scheme
The Ricardo plc 2004 Executive Share Option Plan
The Ricardo plc 1996 Long Term Incentive Plan
The Ricardo plc 2006 Long Term Incentive Plan
