                               Board Appointments

As announced on 26 November 2002, Ricardo plc, the UK's leading independent
automotive engineering consultancy, confirms that Gerald Andrews and Clive
Hickman were appointed to the Board as executive directors on 1 January 2003.


Gerald Andrews, who holds a B Eng degree, is 43 years old has gained extensive
experience in automotive consultancy and has held a number of roles in OEM's.
During his career he has successfully delivered many large programmes to
production.  He is currently Managing Director of Ricardo Driveline and
Transmission Systems, which encompasses Motorsport, having previously been
Managing Director of FF Developments Limited when that company was acquired by
Ricardo in 1994.


Clive Hickman, who is 48 years old, holds both an Honours BSc degree and a PhD
in mechanical engineering, is a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers
and a Chartered Engineer. In addition he holds a masters degree in business
administration (MBA).  He is currently Managing Director of Ricardo Vehicle
Engineering, a position he has held since 2001, having previously been Business
Development Director of Ricardo Consulting Engineers Ltd.  He joined Ricardo in
1997 from Westinghouse Signals Ltd.  where he was Technical Director  and has
held various positions in the automotive industry including MIRA, Rover and GKN.


Neither Gerald Andrews nor Clive Hickman has any details that are required to be
disclosed under section 6 F2(b) to (g).
