RICARDO ANNOUNCES A BOARD APPOINTMENT
Ricardo plc, the UK's leading independent automotive engineering consultancy,
announces that Professor JP (Ian) Percy CBE, LLD, CA will take up his board
appointment as a non-executive director on 1 July 2000. He will assume the
role of Chairman of the Audit Committee on 3 November 2000.
Ian Percy, who is 58 years old, is Chairman of the Accounts Commission for
Scotland and Audit Scotland and Deputy Chairman of Scottish Provident
Institution. During the last five years he has held (and still holds)
directorships in two publicly quoted companies, Kiln plc and the Weir Group
plc. He was previously Grant Thornton's Senior Partner of London and Scotland,
President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. His other
appointments include being a non executive director of Deutsche (Scotland)
Limited, a member of the Companies House Steering Board, the Scottish Legal
Aid Board and Vice Chairman of the UK Auditing Practices Board. He is
Honorary Professor of Accounting at Aberdeen University. Professor Percy has
no details that are required to be disclosed under section 6.F.2 (b) to (g).
