Rio Tinto announces that Megan Clark, Non-executive Director of Rio Tinto plc and Rio Tinto Limited, was appointed as a director of CSL Limited with effect from today.

This information is disclosed to the London Stock Exchange (LSE) in accordance with the requirements under paragraph 9.6.14R of the United Kingdom Listing Rules relating to the disclosure of new directorships in publically quoted companies by a director of the company. As part of its dual listed company structure Rio Tinto voluntarily notifies the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) of the above appointment.
