AGM Statement
Robinson plc ('Robinson' or 'the Company', stock code: RBN), the custom
manufacturer of plastic and paperboard packaging based in Chesterfield, will
hold its Annual General Meeting today at 11:30am.
Richard Clothier, the Chairman, will include the following comments at the
meeting:
'We were pleased to report a return to profitability in 2007. However, we
recognise this is only the start of a much needed trend. We continue to
strengthen our management particularly in sales with a view to raising revenues.
The current market conditions remain a challenge, particularly in the UK, with
high input and material costs expected to continue throughout 2008. Despite
this, we do anticipate further improvement in profitability as a result of
improved manufacturing efficiencies, and cost control. So far our performance in
2008 is line with the Board's expectations.'
