Rockhopper Exploration plc (the 'Company')

                               Director Dealings

The Company was notified on 5 April 2006 that Non-executive Director, Mr Richard
Visick, sold 265,000 shares at a sale price of 32p and that his IPS pension
fund, of which he is sole beneficiary, immediately purchased 265,000 shares at a
price of 32.02p per share.

These transactions do not alter the total beneficial share holding of Mr Visick
which stands at 18,744,809 ordinary shares representing 26.1% of the issued
share capital of the Company.
