STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE

RESIGNATION OF DIRECTOR

ROC advises that Mr Dennis Paterson has resigned as President Roc Oil (Bohai) Company and executive director of the Company, effective 31 July 2009.  

Following Mr Paterson's resignation, ROC's Board will comprise five Directors, with one executive Director and four non-executive Directors.

ROC is pleased to announce that Mr Ron Morris, ROC's General Manager Beibu, has accepted the appointment as President, Roc Oil (Bohai) Company effective 1 August 2009.

Commenting on Mr Paterson's resignation, ROC's Chairman, Mr Andrew Love, stated:

'Dennis has been an invaluable member of the executive team and a board member over the past three years. In particular, his leadership of ROC's China project has been important in achieving the key development and production milestones at Zhao Dong. During his time as President of Roc China, Dennis has been key to establishing close working relationships with our Chinese joint venture partners, PetroChina and Sinochem and he leaves the project in a healthy position.  

On behalf of the board I thank him and wish him well. We shall miss his contribution and experience.

I am also pleased to announce the appointment of Ron Morris as the new President of Roc China. Ron brings of a wealth of management and operational experience to the role, particularly in relation to China. He has been ROC's General Manager of the Beibu Gulf Project since September last year and he has achieved significant progress in the engineering, planning and approvals for the project over the past 9 months. I welcome Ron to his new role and look forward to continuing success in ROC's China business.'
