NewMedia SPARK plc appoints Jayesh Patel as a Director



NewMedia SPARK plc ('SPARK') announces that it has today appointed Jay Patel, as
a director. Jay, 34, has been part of the SPARK management and investment team
since SPARK's formation in 1999.  Previously Jay has held corporate finance and
strategy positions at BSkyB and UBS Warburg and qualified as a chartered
accountant with KPMG.  He holds an MBA from INSEAD and an economics degree from
the London School of Economics.



Commenting on the appointment, Tom Teichman, Chairman of NewMedia SPARK plc
said: ' It's a pleasure to welcome Jay to the Board. He has been a core member
of the team at SPARK since we began and his varied experience will be extremely
valuable as we continue to develop the companies within our portfolio.'
