NewMedia SPARK PLC 24 July 2000 Tony Sarin joins Board of NewMedia SPARK plc Following the completion of NewMedia SPARK's acquisition of Softtechnet.com PLC, Tony Sarin has joined the Board of NewMedia SPARK. Tony has also been appointed Chairman of the wholly owned Indian investment subsidiary SPARK India. NewMedia SPARK will now start to develop its investment and incubation strategy in India. Tony, aged 38, was previously a senior partner at Morley & Scott Chartered accountants. He was founder and CEO of Softtechnet, which was created to take advantage of the investment opportunities in the Indian, UK and US technology and Internet markets. Softtechnet floated on AIM in March 2000. In addition to being a director of Softtechnet he is also a Director of Quercus Enterprises Ltd, a property investment company. Tony sits on various committees including the Bank of England Small Business Panel, advising on Asian businesses and the Asian Business Association where he is Vice-Chairman. He is a Council member of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is a member of one of the sub-committees of the UK Government's Task Force for 'New Deal'. He also represents the London Chamber as a member of the Board of the Central London Partnership, the principal consultative body on pan-central London issues. Tony holds 720,000 Ordinary Shares in NewMedia SPARK of 2.5 pence each and 2,046,666 NewMedia SPARK 75p warrants, acquired in consideration of the Softtechnet acquisition.
