NewMedia SPARK PLC 22 December 2000 NewMedia SPARK PLC Change to Board of Directors The Board of NewMedia SPARK plc ('SPARK') is pleased to announce the appointment of three new directors to the Board on 21 December 2000. Joel Plasco, aged 29, has been appointed as an executive director of SPARK. He is currently SPARK's company secretary, and is a founder director of EO.net. He previously worked in corporate finance at Collins Stewart specialising in UK smaller company equity fundraising. Joel is a practising solicitor having qualified at a city law firm. He is both a UK SFA and US NASD registered securities representative. Joel is currently a director of NewMedia Investors Limited, NewMedia SPARK B.V., Rainbow Network Plc, EO Plc, Makedirect Limited, EO.Com Limited, EO.net Limited, Speedclear Limited, and EO (UK) Limited. Joel is interested in 18,758 ordinary shares of 2.5p each in the Capital of SPARK ('SPARK Shares'), 1,857 warrants to subscribe for one SPARK share per warrant at a price of 75p per share ('SPARK Warrants') and founder SPARK Warrants to subscribe for SPARK Shares at a price of 10p per SPARK Share over 0.25 per cent. of the share capital of SPARK. Roger Parry, aged 47, has been appointed as a non executive director of SPARK. He was Development Director of Aegis Group, the independent media planning and buying company and was later appointed as Chief Executive of More Group PLC, which was acquired by Clear Channel in 1998. He is now Chief Executive of Clear Channel International where he is responsible for operations in Europe and Asia. Roger is currently a director of Clear Channel International Limited, Jazz FM plc, More O'Ferrall Limited, More Group Overseas Limited, the Kildoon Property Company Limited, More O'Ferrall Adshel Limited, the Canton Property Investment Company Limited, More Group UK Limited, More Communications Limited, More Media Limited, Johnston Press plc, Clear Channel Holdings Limited, the Shakespeare Globe Trust, the Future Network Plc, West Eight Investments Limited, Morebus Limited, Internet Indirect plc, Switch Digital (London) Limited, iTouch plc, Ministry of Sound Digital Radio Limited and Wlon Limited. Roger is currently interested in 4,039,422 SPARK Shares and 905,700 SPARK Warrants. Mark Slater, aged 31, has been appointed as a non executive director of SPARK. He founded Slater Investments Limited, the SFA registered company that specialises in advising offshore funds and managing portfolios for wealthy individuals and pension funds. Mark is currently a director of Slater Investments Limited, Globalstart Limited, Internet Indirect plc, Clare Slater Consultants Limited, East-West Trust Co. Limited, Blue Seas Trust Co. Limited and Cavamont Holdings Limited. He was previously a director of EachAgent Associates Limited. Mark is currently interested in 26,584,000 SPARK Shares, and 6,000,000 SPARK Warrants.
