Update on Portfolio company
Following recent press comment, the Board of NewMedia SPARK plc confirms that
mergermarket is in discussion with advisors regarding a strategic review with
flotation, trade sale and refinancing being considered. The Board believes that
were a disposal to occur it would be at a significant premium to the £13 million
book value of its fully diluted 24% stake in mergermarket reported in its
interim accounts as at 30 September 2005.
Mergermarket is used by many of the world's leading financial institutions and
its products include an independent Mergers and Acquisitions intelligence tool
and a suite of products servicing the hedge fund sector.
The review process is expected to take several months to complete - further
announcements will be made in due course.
