Director/PDMR Shareholding
This notification is made in accordance with the UK Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rule 3.1.4.
On 28th January 2015, the following awards ("Awards") over ordinary shares in the Company were made under the Safestore 2009 Performance Share Plan (the "Plan") to Directors of the Company and other Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility (together "PDMRs"):

A further six senior managers and executives employed by the company and its subsidiaries have been granted awards over a total of 223,230 shares.
No consideration was paid for the grant of an Award which is structured as an option with a nil exercise price. The vesting of an Award is ordinarily subject to continued employment of the participant and the satisfaction of performance conditions over a three year performance period set by the Remuneration Committee of the Company.
The Company was informed of the above transactions relating to Awards on 28th January 2015.

Safestore is the UK's largest self-storage group operating or managing 134 stores. They include 97 wholly owned stores in the UK including 58 in London and the South East with the remainder in key metropolitan areas such as Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Bristol, together with 12 Space Maker stores under management in the UK and 25 wholly owned stores in the Paris region.
Safestore was founded in the UK in 1998. It acquired the French business "Une Pièce en Plus" in 2004 which was founded in 1998 by the current Safestore Group CEO Frederic Vecchioli.
Safestore has been listed on the Premium Segment of the London Stock exchange since 2007.
