Non-executive Director appointment

The Sage Group plc ("Sage") is pleased to announce the appointment of Drummond Hall to its Board as a Non-executive Director with effect from 1 January 2014.  Drummond will join the Remuneration, Audit and Nomination Committees.

Drummond was Chief Executive of Dairy Crest Group plc from 2002 to 2006, prior to which his career was spent with Procter and Gamble, Mars and PepsiCo.  He is currently the Senior Independent Non-executive Director of WH Smith plc.  Drummond was a Non-executive Director of Mitchells & Butlers plc from July 2004 to January 2010, and Chairman from June 2008 to November 2009.

Commenting on the appointment, Donald Brydon, Chairman, said: "I am delighted that Drummond is joining the Sage Board at a time of forward momentum for The Sage Group.  His extensive experience, particularly his broad-based marketing and corporate strategy expertise, will help drive the continued development of Sage."

There are no further disclosures required for the purposes of Listing Rule 9.6.13.
