Appointment of Non-Executive Director
Walker Greenbank PLC (AIM: WGB), the designer, manufacturer and distributor of
furnishing fabrics and wallpapers whose international business includes the
brands Sanderson, Morris & Co, Harlequin and Zoffany, is pleased to announce the
appointment of Terry Stannard as a Non-Executive Director of the Company.
Terry George Stannard, aged 57, has particular expertise in the international
expansion of brand-based businesses and a track record of value creation. His
executive career included the positions of Chief Executive of Uniq plc and Chief
Executive of Terranova Foods plc. Since 2001, he has focussed on non-executive
appointments at both quoted and unquoted businesses.
Mr Stannard's current portfolio includes non-executive roles at Brintons Ltd, an
international manufacturer and distributor of Axminster carpets; Bradford & Sons
Ltd, an acquisitive builders' merchant; and Macphie of Glenbervie Ltd, a food
ingredients group. Mr Stannard also has a non-executive role at Nova Garden
Furniture Ltd, an international outdoor furniture brand, and is a non-executive
of UK subsidiaries of Singapore-listed Singapore Food Industries, whose brands
include New Covent Garden Soup.
Mr Stannard has previously held non-executive appointments at companies
including James Beattie plc, a quoted retailer acquired by House of Fraser plc;
Alpha Airports Group plc, a quoted catering group acquired by Autogrill SpA; and
Enterprise Food Group Ltd, a private equity backed e-commerce business.
