Directorate Changes
Walker Greenbank PLC (AIM: WGB), the luxury interior furnishings group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Christopher ("Chris") Rogers, the former executive director of Whitbread plc, as an independent Non-Executive Director.
Chris, who brings a wealth of experience to Walker Greenbank including corporate governance, strategic planning and international growth, will join the Board today, 30 April 2018.
His current non-executive positions include Senior Independent Director at Travis Perkins plc, the builders' merchant and home improvement business, and Chairman of Rush Hair Salons, the privately held hairdresser chain.
Chris was an executive director of Whitbread plc for 11 years from 2005, first as Group Finance Director for seven years and then as Global MD of Costa Coffee, where he grew the brand internationally to become the world's second largest coffee shop chain.
It is intended that Chris will take over as Chair of the Company's Audit Committee at the Company's AGM in June 2018.
The Company also announces that Fiona Goldsmith, Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Company's Audit Committee, has given notice that she will not stand for re-election at the Company's forthcoming AGM in June 2018. Fiona will therefore step down from the Board at the Company's AGM, having served nearly 10 years with the Company.
Commenting on his appointment, Chris Rogers said: "Walker Greenbank has delivered sustained growth over a number of years and I am looking forward to joining the Board as the Company looks to deliver the next stage of its strategy."

Chris Rogers was appointed a non-executive director of HMV Group plc in September 2006 and left HMV Group plc in June 2012. HMV Group plc was put into administration in January 2013 and was subsequently placed into creditors' voluntary liquidation in July 2014.
